How Alan Will Digitize Your Memories
Ask anyone what they would take from the house if they had to quickly leave and never come back and their answer would be ... their photographs. It's our memories, our family, children and friends, the places we visit, captured in detail that can only be held in film. Yet these memories get stored in boxes, envelopes, drawers where they are seldom touched. Digitizing these memories brings them back to life.
Alan Bloom Productions takes pride in how we convert your photos to digital images. It's a complex process when done right and we settle for nothing less. Our goal is to ensure that the digital images created from the photographs are as close to the originals as possible. For example; colors will match precisely, all the area of the photograph is digitized including the borders, the orientation of the photo will not be changed.
Here are the steps Alan takes in our in house photo preservation process.
"YOUR PHOTOS NEVER LEAVE OUR STUDIO.
WE TREAT THEM AS WE WOULD OUR OWN FAMILY PHOTOS"
Inventory
Each order that arrives at our lab will be fully inventoried prior to any work progressing. It's important to us that nothing is lost or damaged in the preservation process. It's like an archeologist counts every bone of a skeleton.
Organization
Photos received are likely to be organized in one way or another. It may be envelopes of photos from the lab that processed the film. It may be stacks of photos by year or some other approach. Shoebox preserves the organization of the received photos and uses the same organization for the returned digital files. If the received photos are in multiple sets of envelopes, the digitized files will be organized on disk in the same sets.
Digitization
Alan Bloom Productions has developed proprietary digitization methods to ensure the accuracy of the process. Photos are scanned at resolutions of 300 pixels per inch. Color of the digitization process is tightly controlled and checked on a daily basis.
Job Processing
After the photographs have been digitized each one is processed using proprietary software that detects the size and orientation of the digital file. Any errors in rotation during the digitization process are automatically corrected. The final size of the digitized image is set to precisely match the original photo. Image resolution is set to 300 pixels per inch for all digital images. All digitized images are written to one or more CD or Data DVD's.

"Alan Bloom Productions" is the photo preservation specialist in the New Jersey area focusing on turning your old photographs into digital memories, preserved forever. Our expert services offer a variety of choices for capturing old photographs and making them readily available for viewing ... out of the shoebox and onto the screen.
Digital cameras have completely changed the way we take photos, the way we look at them and the way we share them. Unfortunately, the old film photos sitting in shoeboxes and drawers get pushed further and further from our minds. Their numbers are dwindling compared to the multitude of clicked digital photos collecting in computers.
Alan's Shoebox Scan will take those photos and digitize them with state of the art photo scanning services. Your old photos will become relevant again sharing their place with your digital photos.
